Dog Size Calculator
Enter your puppy's current weight and age, and pick the size group that best matches its breed or parents. You'll get an approximate adult weight range. Growth is individual, so treat the result as a ballpark, not a prediction.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate is a puppy adult-size estimate?
Only roughly. It assumes your puppy follows a typical growth curve for the size group you selected. Individual dogs vary, and mixed-breed puppies can be especially hard to predict, so the range shown is deliberately wide.
Why do I have to choose a size group?
A 6 kg puppy could grow into a small or a large dog depending on breed. Puppies of different size groups reach their adult weight at different speeds, so the group you pick changes the estimate. Use your best information about the breed or the parents.
When do dogs stop growing?
Small breeds often reach adult size by around 9 to 12 months, while large and giant breeds may keep filling out until 18 to 24 months. That is why this tool assumes larger breeds have reached a smaller share of their adult weight at the same age.
Does paw size or leg length predict adult size?
They are folk indicators at best. This calculator does not use them because they are unreliable, and using weight and age with a size group is a more transparent starting point.
Is this the same as the Dog Age Calculator or Dog BMI Calculator?
No. The Dog Age Calculator converts a dog's age into human-year equivalents, and the Dog BMI Calculator computes a weight-to-length index from measurements. This tool projects likely adult weight for a growing puppy.
Should I feed my puppy differently based on this estimate?
Do not change feeding amounts because of a size estimate. Puppy nutrition affects healthy bone growth, especially in larger breeds, so follow your veterinarian's advice and the food's puppy guidance.
